Animal Man by Jamie Delano and Steve Pugh Omnibus

Family, identity, and the supernatural intertwine in a darker, more unsettling take on Animal Man in the complete, critically acclaimed run from Jamie Delano and Steve Pugh, now collected as an omnibus.

Buddy Baker is a superhero—but he’s also a husband and a father trying to hold his life together.

When tragedy disrupts the Baker family, everything begins to change.

What starts as a personal struggle grows into something far more unpredictable as the boundaries between the natural world and something beyond it begin to blur.

Across this run, the story moves away from traditional superhero structure, focusing on family, belief, and the impact of forces that cannot be easily explained or controlled.

As the Baker family faces a series of escalating challenges, each chapter builds toward a deeply human exploration of loss, survival, and transformation.

Written by Jamie Delano and illustrated by Steve Pugh, this collection brings together their complete run on Animal Man for the first time in one volume; an acclaimed and influential chapter that developed a dedicated following for its darker, more literary approach to the character.

Collects Animal Man #51-79, Animal Man Annual #1, Swamp Thing Annual #7, a story from Vertigo Jam #1, and pages from The Children's Crusade #1-2, with a foreword by Jeff Lemire and introductions by Delano and Pugh.
